Hi, I'm Pauline. I'm the founder of Gardenia.

Gardenia was founded in 2015 with the goal of providing an alternative shopping experience for women who simply wanted to find the right bra for them.

I hoped to provide a warm and friendly environment where anyone would feel immediately at ease.

My main idea was to sell larger cup bras and to offer a personalised fitting-service. Shortly after opening I was approached by a lovely nurse from the local breast care unit.  This has led to great relationships with many hospitals including the Kent and Canterbury, William Harvey Ashford, QEQM Margate, Medway & KIMS.

I realised that there was a real need for post-surgery alternatives and soon had many post-surgery patients looking for bras, contacting me and coming to the shop.

It's not just about being able to fit the correct bra - It's also understanding the emotional path that many may be facing.

In 2016, Gardenia Lingerie moved (across the road!) to 94 Mortimer Street.  Bigger and better!

After having had great success with Gardenia Lingerie  - I have decided to specialise in an area that, I believe, is of utmost importance to women who may have had a recent diagnosis or are coping with an ongoing condition.

Namely, I will be streamlining my offering to just mastectomy bras and swimwear. I think that this sector is under represented and I want to change that.

All women deserve the right to feel feminine!

As a bra and mastectomy bra fitter - I am fully trained in the provision of breast prostheses lingerie, post-mastectomy bras and swimwear.

By appointment only.

In time, dependent on government guidance, a mobile service will be available in your own home within the Herne Bay, Whitstable, Faversham and Thanet area.
